Hello there!
Hi! My name is Judy, the heart behind A Touch of Woodland Magic!
I have always found joy in blending creativity, nature, and everyday living.
What started as a love of plants and handmade projects has grown into a way to share that magic with others - whether through terrariums, homemaking, or creating cozy, meaningful spaces.

My Story
I have always needed a creative outlet - whether it's crocheting, drawing, painting, journaling, crafting with clay, or diving into DIY projects - art has always been a part of my life. Over the years , I've met so many people who say "I wish I could be creative" or "I wish I had that artistic touch." For me, sharing my art is only PART of the magic. I love helping people realize they have creativity in them as well. Seeing that joy lights up my day.

Alongside art, I have always loved nature. The only problem? I don't have much of a green thumb. While Tennessee's outdoors thrives beautifully, my indoor plants never seemed to make it. I wanted to bring life into my home, so in 2022, I started experiencing with bottled terrariums. At first, it was just a hobby - collecting moss from local creeks, placing it in jars, and staring at the little worlds I created.

I began researching tiny plants I could add. At first, I tried picking them up at Lowe's and Walmart, then searching online, but nothing worked. It was expensive, would take months to arrive, and would be too large for my jars. That's when it hit me - I could become the source for others who wanted the same thing. I could bring joy, greenery, and a spark of wonder into people's homes.

So I started sharing my terrariums with friends, their kids, and anyone who would let me gift them one (or force them into a DIY session haha). I brought them into art fairs - at first a few at a time, selling them all. Every time someone lit up with excitement, it matched the excitement I felt in creating and share each piece. That's when I realized this wasn't just a hobby anymore, it was something I wanted to bring to the whole community.

As a Tennessee transplant myself, I know how hard it can be to find connection in a new place. Terrariums became my way of bridging that gap - bringing together transplants and locals alike through something simple, beautiful, and joyful. This is my chance to share my love of art, my love of nature, and my love of community.

I hope to meet and see you soon!
With Love,

Judy
